Two Alabama men face federal charges in Norfolk, Virginia for fraud. 29 year old Nathan Allen Dunn and 51 year old Huffman Earl Monk from Brookwood were both charged with conspiracy, fraud and making false statements.
Dunn and Monk allegedly schemed to defraud the Coast Guard. Prosecutors say that overpriced Coast Guard freight shipment contracts were awarded and six fake shipment contracts were awarded as well.
In Dunn’s indictment statement, he says that he served as a transportation officer from October 2009 to November 2011 as a Coast Guard officer.
