The Tide Slides into Championship Series
On Sunday afternoon, Alabama faced off against top seed California, which was an electrifing team at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, Ok. The number two seeded Tide did not wait to long to put up some runs on the board. In the second inning, Jackie Traina helped her on cause by hitting a home run to put Alabama on the score board. She pitched a complete game that only allowed two hits and two runs. She struck out six batters and her season record is 40-2, which is outstanding. The Tide had a total of nine hits for the game scoring in every inning but the first. Bama puts away Cal by a final score of 5-2 that enables the Tide to slide into the Championship World Series for the first time. They will be challenging Oklahoma starting tonight at 7p.m.
