The Tide Wins in World Series Opener
Alabama opened up the World Series Thursday night against a competitive Tennessee Volunteers squad at the ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City, OK. The Tide got off to a great start with their bats waking up early in the bottom of the 1st inning. Kayla Braud led the inning off with an in-field hit to reach 1st base. After two walks, the bases were loaded until Reilly Boccia cleared them with a three run double giving the Tide a 3-0 lead. Another run was added by a bases loaded walk ending the inning up 4-0. Tennessee homered in the 3rd inning scoring two runs as they tried to dig back in the game. Alabama was too much for the volunteers as they added insurance in the 4th with one more run. Crimson Tide wins the game by a score of 5-3 and they will face off against Arizona Sun Devils on Friday, June 01, 2012 at 8:30p.m.ET.
