Governor Bentley announces that 105 road bridge improvements projects will be apart of the first round of ATRIP funding.
Alabama Transportation Rehabilitation and Improvement Program, known as ATRIP is the biggest road and bridge improvement program in the state of Alabama’s history. ATRIP is designed to improve safety and quality on the roads for commuters. This program was first introduced in February and of 67 counties in Alabama 64 counties are expected to have new improvements to their roads. The funding for the 105 projects is at about 138.5 million.
Bentley hopes that these improvements will bring business and more jobs to Alabama.
