A Childersburg High School student was taken into custody Thursday morning for bringing a BB gun to the school. Before school started on Thursday, May 24, someone reported that a student had a gun on campus, the Talladega County Board of Education confirms. Childersburg police and deputies with the Talladega County Sheriff's department responded to the school. Within 10 minutes, police found a BB gun on the student and took him into custody, Gail Jones from the Talladega BOE said. The student's identity has not been released.
