Alabama School Superintendent Tommy Bice says he wants to set higher minimum scores for students to pass the state's testing program.
Bice also says he wants to reduce the number of multiple choice questions. The superintendent says students' weaknesses should be identified and corrected before the eighth grade.
Bice says too many students need remedial classes before moving on to college.
