A second suspect has been arrested in a shooting in Anniston that injured an innocent bystander. The shooting occurred at the Victory Fuels convenience store on Noble Street on Sunday, April 29. Carey Richardson, a 21-year-old from Oxford, is the second suspect to be arrested and charged in connection to the shooting. Richardson has been charged with attempted murder, first degree assault, menacing and third degree criminal trespassing. He is being held in the Anniston City Jail on bonds totaling $40,800. The other suspect, 23-year-old Michael Brown, has been charged with first degree assault. Police say Brown was with the two groups that began firing at each other at the convenience store. Anniston police say the groups knew each other but it's unclear why they opened fire. A 38-year-old female was shot in the chest in the crossfire and was airlifted to UAB Hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening.
