TUSCALOOSA, Alabama -- Bo Jackson's goodwill bicycle tour rolled across its finish line at the Tuscaloosa Amphitheater on Saturday.
"Bo Bikes Alabama" began in Henagar on April 24 with hopes of raising $1 million for the Governor's Emergency Relief Fund.
Former Major League Baseball star Ken Griffey Jr. and others rode into Tuscaloosa with Jackson, while other stars like Chicago Bulls great Scottie Pippen, Olympic skiier Picabo Street and cycling legend Lance Armstrong joined him for other stretches in the state.
Part of the effort's cause involves bringing together fans of both Alabama and Auburn athletics to raise money and awareness for the continued recovery from storms in Alabama one year ago.
Learn more about the tour at BoBikesBama.com. Riders rode along with Jackson for $200 a day. A $10 donation can also be made by texting "BOBIKES" to 50555.
