Anniston Police are looking for an armed robbery suspect after a bank holdup. The robbery happened at the Wells Fargo Bank branch on Bill Robison Parkway, just across from Walmart. It happened just before 11 a.m. Tuesday. A police source stated that the suspect had a black, semi-automatic handgun and showed it to a teller. Police describe the male suspect as having a grayish/blue hoodie, khaki pants, grey tennis shoes, and a dark book bag. Police say the suspect left on foot. Joining Anniston Police at the scene were FBI agents and a K9 unit from the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office. At one point, a number of officers were seen running through a field just behind the bank, but there's been no word of an arrest. If anyone has any information on the suspect authorities ask you to contact the FBI at 256-547-0522 or the Investigative Division of the Anniston Police Department at 256-240-4000.
