Oxford police have charged a 17-year-old with attempted murder for shooting another teen in a park Monday afternoon. The shooting happened at Coldwater Creek Memorial Park around 3:15 p.m. Monday, according to Oxford police. Not many people were at the park when the shooting occurred. Denzel Hicks surrendered to police on Monday. He was charged with attempted murder on Tuesday. The victim in the shooting is being treated at the hospital. There is no word on his condition.
