GADSDEN - AL - Blood evidence, a cell phone, a sharp witness, and forgetful crooks are getting the credit for cracking an early Monday morning vehicle break- in in Gadsden. Police say officers responded to a call placed by a citizen who suspected he had witnessed a truck being broken into at Richard Motors on West Meighan Blvd. The witness reported seeing two men hop out of a white pick up truck and into a red get away truck. When officers showed up, they discovered the white truck had been broken into--the stereo ,among other things, had been ripped out. Officers also found blood and what must have been a very important cell phone. The suspects returned to the scene of the crime only to be greeted by the police officers who found the stolen items in the red truck.
