The baby allegedly abducted by his father in Fairfield this morning has been found and is in custody of a family member. The baby's father, Daymrius Beck, is still at large, according to Fairfield Police Chief Leon Davis.
Warrants have been obtained against Beck, charging him with attempted murder and kidnapping. Other charges could be added, Davis said. Police believe Beck abducted his one-year-old son in Fairfield around 8 a.m. Monday, April 16. Chief Davis says Beck was driving a light blue vehicle, possibly a Cadillac Sedan de Ville. The baby was released to a family member after a DHR representative conducted an interview.
Anyone with information about Beck's location is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Department at 205-786-4111.
