HealthSouth's former CEO has been released from federal prison. Richard Scrushy was moved from a federal corrections facility in Beaumont, Texas to a Houston halfway house. According the Federal Bureau of Prisons, he's expected to go home to his family in Houston on July 25 for supervised release. In January, a federal judge reduced Scrushy's sentence by one year and ordered three years of supervised release following time at a halfway house. He and his family have no plans on returning to Alabama. In 2006, Scrushy was convicted of bribing former Governor Don Siegelman for a seat on a state hospital board. He's appealing the decision.
