Alabama authorities say they will have a 16-year-old Madison youth returned to Huntsville this week to face charges in a fatal middle school shooting.
Authorities say Hammad Memon and his mother Safia were arrested in Dallas on Friday. WAAY-TV (http://bit.ly/HKz3d6 ) reports that investigators believe the two were trying to flee to their native Pakistan with Hammad's 6-year-old sister.
Memon is set to go on trial on a murder charge in June in the slaying of 14-year-old Todd Brown. The youth was fatally shot in a hallway at a middle school in Madison in February 2010.
Memon was free on bond.
Memon's father, Dr. Igbal Memon, was arrested at his home in Madison on Saturday but is now free on bond. Both he and Memon's mother are charged with hindering prosecution.
