An Anniston police officer was involved in a three-car accident today that critically injured an elderly man. It happened at the intersection of 6th Street and Quintard Avenue in Anniston. Police say one car apparently turned across the other lane, which is when it and the Anniston police car collided with each other. Officer Tony Gazaway was treated and released from a nearby hospital. William Curry, 84, was airlifted to UAB Medical Center. A third car was struck during the accident, but the female driver wasn't injured.
