A man was arrested and charged in the death of a little girl in an accident that happened after the Regional Air Show in Northport Saturday. Officers said a 28-year-old Eufala mother and her two children were walking toward Kentuck Park when a truck ran off the road hitting all three of them. The 7 year old daughter was killed. Officers said the driver Danny Ray Smith drove about 200 yards after the accident before he stopped. The mother and the other child, a two-year-old had emergency surgery at DCH. Smith has been charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of an accident and first degree assault. He is being held on bond.
