Prom season is here! Unfortunately, some high school students may have a hard time finding that perfect dress at an affordable price. 'Lighthouse for Recovery' Ministries is helping out with its 'Prom Princess Project.' The goal is to help girls, in financial need, find the right dress and send them off to the prom in style all for free.
The dresses were donated from different manufacturers and designers. No proof of financial need is required. Students that are interested need to bring a valid high school ID and photo ID or a transcript and photo ID. Dresses range from sizes 0 to 30. There's also a wide variety of styles from princess-style, to semi-formal and cocktail. The Prom Princess Project kicks off April 14 at Chapel in the Pines. That's located on 2269 Chapel Road in Hoover, AL. Special boutique hours are from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. You must make reservations by going to www.thelighthouseforrecoveryministries.org. Walk-ins are welcome from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. For more information, contact Pamela D. Wray-Biron at (205) 591-0089 or at (205) 504-5304
