He admitted to sexually abusing more than 20 girls, but a former Shelby County teacher accused of sexual abuse has pleaded ‘not guilty.'
According to court documents, Daniel Acker, Jr. Waived his arraignment. The judge has scheduled his trial for August 13th.
Acker was indicted earlier this month on eight counts of sex abuse of children under the age of 12. He had been a fourth grade teacher and school bus driver.
