The state has issued a missing child alert at the request of the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for 8-month-old Mathew Maskill Johnson.
He was taken by his non-custodial mother, Taylor Nicole (Maskill) Johnson, 19, at 5 a.m. this morning. Authorities say that they believe the pair may be in the Lincoln, Alabama area in Talladega County.
In an email alert, the Alabama Department of Public safety described Taylor as a white female, 5' 1", with red hair, green eyes and weighing150 pounds. She was last seen wearing a red shirt and blue jeans.
Mathew is a white male, 24", 19 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes. He was last seen in a blue and white striped infant jumper.
Authorities say that Mathew is in need of medical attention and anyone who has information on the pair should call 911 immediately.
