10 people who have pleaded guilty in a multi-state dog fighting ring will be sentenced in August. The Associated Press reports U.S. District Judge Keith Watkins has ordered 10 people from Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi and Texas to appear in court on Aug. 12 in Montgomery for 15-minute intervals of sentencing.
The 10 reportedly pleaded guilty during respective court appearances in Montgomery last week. According to the AP, most of the defendants are facing up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine for conspiracy.
An 11th defendant will reportedly plead guilty on Aug. 7.
