Hale County, AL - More charges this morning in the saga of the Hale County Animal Shelter. Director Kernan Dee Sullins is back in jail. Greensboro police arrested him Monday evening. This time, he's charged with second degree property theft. It stems from a stolen Great Dane which we first reported on last week.
The owner says the dog was taken off his property and taken to the Greater Birmingham Humane Society where it was later adopted. The investigation could result in more arrests.
Sullins was out on bond after a drug raid at the shelter last month.
