This just in from the Talladega County EMA
*WINTER STORM WARNING* Now in effect for Talladega County. From Birmingham Weather. We could be talking about very significant snowfall accumulations. NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE for what looks to be even greater impacts from this very dangerous winter storm. The snowfall amounts that are forecast will be on top of what already fell this morning across our northern counties. Needless to say, if those heavy snowfall amounts occur, travel will be almost impossible. Also, be sure to take into account that this could be a very rapidly developing weather situation that can change on a dime. If you live near the areas of snow or ice expected, you need to prepare for winter weather, even if your county is not listed in a current Winter Weather Advisory or Winter Storm Warning. This could be the most significant winter storm we've seen in quite a while, so please don't let your guard down!
