(WDNG) - Icy road conditions may have led to the death of a woman in north Alabama. State Department of Public Safety Sgt. Steve Jarrett says 53-year-old Marie Duncan of Fort Payne was killed on Thursday when her vehicle left a two-lane road near Collinsville.
The crash reportedly occurred on DeKalb County Road 22 near AL 176, and Jarrett says the road was experiencing icy conditions at the time. There were no reports of any other vehicles or injuries in Thursday’s fatal accident.
State Troopers say the woman was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
