Today, the Auburn football team took the first step toward what it believes will be the crowning moment, a national football championship.
Nearly a thousand fans gathered at the Montgomery Regional Airport to send the team off to Pasadena with a "Reverse Tiger Walk."
They came from all across the state to cheer on their Auburn Tigers.
As the busses rolled onto the tarmac and the players boarded the plane, there was much excitement and anticipation in the air.
Head coach, Gus Malzahn went over to acknowledge the Tiger faithful, as he prepares to coach the biggest game of his career.
"We have the best fans in college football, no doubt," said Malzahn.
