ANNISTON (WDNG) - Traffic on Anniston’s largest thoroughfare was slowed during Friday’s lunch rush after a two-vehicle accident. Anniston police and fire were on the scene of a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Quintard Avenue and 12th Street for about half an hour on Friday.
Anniston Fire Department arrived on the scene shortly before noon where a white Mazda was facing north in the southbound lane of Quintard Avenue. The car had significant damage to the rear driver’s side and it appeared a side airbag had been deployed. A blue Dodge pickup truck was seen facing west on 12th Street and had visible but relatively minor damage to its front bumper.
Anniston police had the right southbound lane of Quintard Avenue blocked to traffic for roughly 30 minutes while first responders worked the scene. A woman who identified herself as the driver of the Dodge told WDNG that she was “a little sore” but that there were no serious injuries and no ambulances responded to the Friday accident.
