(WDNG) - An Anniston woman has been arrested for allegedly using pepper spray against a woman and her 2-year-old son. Anniston police on Monday arrested 21-year-old Tiffanyella Michelle Johnson on charges stemming from an incident that occurred last week.
Anniston police Capt. Allen George said Johnson visited a friend on Cave Rd. on Nov. 26 about a jacket. The victim reportedly stayed inside the home and was talking to Johnson through a closed storm door when the victim’s 22-month-old son approached the door.
George said the victim turned away from the door for a moment when Johnson allegedly snatched open the door, forced her hand into the home and used pepper spray against the woman and the child. George said the suspect left the scene before authorities arrived.
The faces of the victims were reportedly irritated from the incident, but George said neither the victim nor her son required medical attention.
Johnson was arrested on Monday and charged with felony first-degree burglary and felony criminal use of defensive spray. She was released from the Anniston city jail on $35,000 in bonds and is expected in court on Jan. 6.
