Two teenagers who fled a north Alabama treatment program and stole a car over the weekend are back in custody. The Decatur Daily reports a 17-year-old Wetumpka boy and a 15-year-old Marietta, Georgia boy escaped custody from the Elk River Treatment Program in Elkmont on Sunday.
The pair allegedly stole a car and later crashed in on a stretch of Interstate 65 near Priceville in Morgan County. According to The Daily, Priceville Police apprehended the teens and transferred them to the Limestone County Jail and charged with first-degree theft. They were later taken to the Tennessee Valley Juvenile Detention Center in Tuscumbia.
