(WDNG) - Coast Guard Mobile Sector received a distress call on Sunday saying the sailboat Second Chance was taking on water about 50 miles from Dauphin Island. Coast Guard crews were dispatched from New Orleans, Mobile and Dauphin Island to locate the vessel.
Three people and a dog were reportedly recovered from the boat and taken back to Dauphin Island where they were reunited with family.
According to the U.S Coast Guard, no injuries were reported from the Sunday incident.
