Etowah County Deputy Coroner Michael Head said Zeta Sheppard, 38, died when his vehicle left Alabama Highway 77 near Gallant Road about 7 a.m., went down an embankment and flipped on its roof. The vehicle traveled 294 feet from the road to where it finally came to rest.
Head said Sheppard worked for Complete Sweep and at the time of the accident was driving a company vehicle home after working the night shift.
