(WDNG) - Gov. Robert Bentley will be the keynote speaker at tonight’s Etowah County GOP dinner. The Etowah County Republican Party on Monday announced Bentley will speak at the Gadsden Convention Hall for the annual dinner.
Sandra Lasseter with the Etowah County Republican Party said that the dinner has seen more than 500 people attend the dinner in each of the past two years and expects a sold out crowd on Tuesday.
According to a Monday release from the party, Bentley and the Etowah County GOP are expected to honor Congressman Jim Martin during the dinner, who many credit with the modern Republican movement in Alabama. Martin is also expected to be in attendance with his wife and former Miss Alabama Pat Martin.
Lasseter said on Tuesday morning that tickets are still available for the Tuesday Etowah County Republican Party Annual Dinner. Tickets are $35 and discounts are available for college and high school students. Tuesday’s dinner is scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. at the Gadsden Convention Hall.
