A man who escaped from Department of Corrections custody in Coffee County on Sunday has been recaptured. WSFA-TV reports Rodney James Hall was taken into custody by Enterprise police on Monday after a standoff with authorities.
Hall was reported missing from the Elba Community Based Facility late Sunday night and, according to WSFA-TV, barricaded himself inside of a trailer on Monday.
Hall was arrested in 2004 and sentenced to 25 years in prison for theft and burglary in Etowah County and was reportedly denied parole on last week.
Hall surrendered to police in Enterprise after an hour and a half of negotiations and taken to the Coffee County Jail. Up until his escape, Hall was part of a community based facility that allowed him potential work outside of prison.
