Calera High School safety and one of the top college football prospects in the country, Ronnie Clark, committed to the University of Alabama Friday, choosing to roll with the Crimson Tide over the Auburn Tigers.
Clark, a 6-foot-3, 210-pound stud for the Eagles' defense, pulled an Alabama hat out of bag at a commitment ceremony in his school's library. His parents and head coach sat with him at the table as he revealed his decision to his fellow classmates.
The versatile defender held offers from Clemson, Kentucky and Lousiana-LaFayette, as well as Alabama and Auburn. Clark became Nick Saban's 21st commitment for the class of 2014, which is widely-considered as the top-ranked class in the nation.
