Television personality Bill O’Reilly tells an Alabama crowd that Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney did not want to win the 2012 presidential election. AL.com reports Fox News host Bill O’Reilly spoke to a crowd of about 2,000 people at a Faulkner University fundraiser on Thursday.
While there, O'Reilly reportedly said he offered to let both Romney and President Barack Obama appear on his prime time cable show the Monday night before the election. According to the website, O’Reilly said the idea was to split the hour between Romney and Obama, but the president’s campaign turned down the offer.
He said he then spoke with Mrs. Romney to offer her husband the entire hour. According to AL.com, O’Reilly said “we never got an answer. We never got a reason.” O’Reilly went on to clearly say “I tell you, that man, Mitt Romney, did not want to win the election.”
AL.com reports “The O’Reilly Factor” host spoke for about half an hour at the Faulkner University Beneffit Dinner which raises money for scholarships for the private, Christian university. Tickets reportedly started at $150 for general admission to the dinner.
