Incumbent politicians in the state are getting some strong support for 2014. The Associated Press reports the Alabama Farmers Federation announced on Wednesday that the trustees for its political action committee, Farm PAC, threw their support to a number of Alabama’s elected leaders, including Gov. Robert Bentley, Attorney General Luther Strange and Agriculture Commissioner John McMillan.
According to the AP, the group also endorsed all five appellate court judges who are running. U.S. Rep. Mike Rogers and U.S. Sen. Jeff Sessions, among others, are also getting a nod from the federation, with president Jimmy Parnell telling the AP that Alabama is blessed with incumbents in state and congressional races who understand the importance of agriculture in the state.
