Tens of thousands of dollars worth of cocaine that washed ashore the Alabama gulf coast has police investigating. WKRG-TV reports two bundles of cocaine have recently been discovered on beaches in Baldwin County.
Couples walking along beaches in Morgan Trace and Gulf Shores reportedly stumbled across more than two pounds of the drugs wrapped in plastic and garbage bags. Police tell the television station that they believe the two bundles are connected and forensic tests will be conducted to determine the purity and potentially identifying features of the drugs.
WKRG-TV reports the estimated street value of the two kilos of coke is estimated to be about $60,000.
