(WDNG) - The Anniston Police Department on Tuesday is investigating an alleged robbery that occurred shortly after 12:30 a.m.
Anniston police Sgt. Chris Sparks said a 35-year-old man entered his home off Front St. in south Anniston early Tuesday morning. According to Sparks, an unidentified suspect was already in the house when the victim entered.
The suspect reportedly had a handgun and demanded cash from the victim. Police reports indicate $300 in cash was taken along with an Acer laptop computer and a Samsung Galaxy cell phone. Sparks said the suspect was wearing a bandana over his face during the incident and fled out a rear door of the house.
According to Sparks, there were no suspects being investigated as of late Tuesday morning. Police reports indicate any potential suspects could face felony first-degree robbery charges.
