Anniston police are investigating an incident in which a pedestrian shot into a vehicle driving on Gurnee Avenue.
Two men told police they were riding in a blue 1991 Chevrolet pickup near the 2700 block of Gurnee Avenue around 3 p.m. Tuesday. They told police a man walking on the street fired four shots at their vehicle. There were no injuries in the shooting.
according to a police report, the two men immediately drove to the Anniston Police Dept. where investigators discovered several bullet holes in the truck, including in the back window, the windshield on the passenger’s side and the back tire on the passenger’s side. The suspect used a small caliber handgun in the shooting.
No arrest had been made as of Wednesday morning.
Discharging a firearm into a vehicle is a Class B felony in the state of Alabama and can carry a prison sentence of up to 20 years.
