Mobile school officials say an eighth grader accused of bringing a gun to school has been arrested.
School district spokeswoman Nancy Pierce stated that the student, whose identity has not been released, was seen by classmates at Mae Eanes Middle School burying a gun on campus Tuesday.
Pierce says police were called to the school, the gun was recovered and the boy was arrested.
Mobile police spokeswoman Ashley Rains says it's unclear where the gun came from and officials say the boy is being housed in the Strickland Youth Center.
