According to the report, the cost of regular unleaded gasoline in the state is now averaging $3.298. That compares with $3.344 last Monday when the state’s gasoline was the 4th lowest and $3.299 on Aug. 12, when Alabama’s had the 3rd lowest gas averages in the nation.
This week, the state with the lowest average remained South Carolina ($3.138) followed by Mississippi ($3.242). Other states with less expensive gas prices than Alabama on this week’s list include Virginia, Texas, Tennessee, Louisiana and Missouri.
