Anniston authorities are investigating the discovery of an elderly woman's body today in her home as a homicide. Coroner Pat Brown said the woman, Alma Flemming, of 525 Stebbins Street in Wellborn, was pronounced dead around 11 a.m. today. The woman lived alone, he said.
Brown would not comment on the circumstances, saying the death is still under investigation. The body has been sent to Huntsville for an autopsy.
