A man was stabbed at a Birmingham church Sunday morning before service.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. at Church of the Reconciler on 14th street.
One man was taken to the hospital, with a stab wound to his neck. Another man was arrested.
Officials from the Church of the Reconciler say the incident happened in the kitchen area of the church.
Just before the morning service, a non-verbal altercation reportedly broke out between two men.
At least one of these men allegedly had a speech impediment.
We're told the argument quickly escalated. That's when one man stabbed the other in his throat with a box cutter.
Police and paramedics quickly responded.
The victim was taken to the hospital where he is expected to recover.
