The attorney for jailed youth evangelist Matt Pitt wants the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office to hand over a list of honorary badge recipients.
According to court documents, Daniel Boman wants to know who Sheriff Mike Hale has given honorary deputy badges to as well as which recipients have had badges revoked.
Boman is also asking for dashcam video from Jefferson County cruisers from the night of Pitt's arrest near Vulcan Park. The Sheriff's Office and Birmingham Police participated in the arrest and stated that officers had to pursue Pitt on foot before apprehending him.
Boman also wants Hale to appear at Pitt's Dec. 9 hearing in Jefferson County on a charge of impersonating a peace officer.
Pitt is currently in the Shelby County Jail without bond for violating his probation in Shelby County relating to a similar charge from 2012.
