Jacksonville police are searching for a pregnant escapee who walked away from a treatment center last night and was picked up by a waiting car.
Police say Crystal Owen, 24, left the Jacksonville Regional Medical Center while waiting for her treatment on Wednesday, Sept. 4. She was last seen getting into a small white car behind the Jacksonville Wal-Mart, according to a post on the Jacksonville Police Department's Facebook page.
Police describe Owen as a white female with brown hair and green eyes, 5'5", 135 pounds and several months pregnant. Police have not said why she was imprisoned. In response to a Facebook comment asking what she was being treated for, the department answered "nerves."
The police department warns that anyone who assists Owen or harbors her could face felony charges.
Both Jacksonville PD and the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office have warrants out for Owen's arrest. If you have any information about the case, call JPD at 256-435-6448 or the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office at 256-236-6600
