Leeds and Irondale police officers are actively searching for a robbery suspect who bailed out of his car in Trussville and ran across I-459.
Leeds Police have now identified that suspect as Rontese Lavelle Miller of Birmingham. Police consider Miller to be armed and dangerous and urge anyone with information to call them at 205-699-0921 or 9-1-1.
Police say Miller robbed a Cash Advance in Leeds sometime Thursday morning.
Leeds police initiated the pursuit and were joined by multiple agencies seraching in the Edwards Lake Road, Highway 11 and I-459 area near the Trussville/Birmingham border.
Officers chased Miller until he bailed out of his vehicle near the Hooters in Trussville and ran across I-459.
Police are still searching Miller and say he was last seen wearing a gray plaid shirt with a dark colored ball cap. If you have any information in the case, please call 205-699-2581.
