A child in Jasper was seriously injured in a dog attack Friday night.
According to Regional Paramedical Services, the victim was being airlifted to the hospital from the National Guard Armory off of Highway 69 after being found unresponsive near Preston Avenue. The child is believed to be between six and seven years old.
Jasper police were assisting at the scene.
WDNG has learned that the victim is a young girl and she is en route to Children's of Alabama. Her condition is unknown at this time.
