(WDNG) - Another student at a Montgomery high school has been diagnosed with tuberculosis. The Alabama Department of Public Health on Friday announced a second case of TB was confirmed at the Robert E. Lee High School.
The first case at that school was first detected in June and health officials have said that student was in close contact with the student in the most recent case. Public health officials are informing parents and urging students who receive a notification should be tested.
Testing will begin on Monday at the Montgomery County Health Department to coincide with the start of classes. Students will reportedly receive excused absences to leave school for the tests.
