(WDNG) - Authorities are looking for a man who allegedly walked away from a drug rehabilitation program without permission. 24-year-old Randall Austin Holder, Jr. reported left the Tri-County drug rehabilitation program in Oxford on Sunday, only two days after a judge ordered him into the program.
Chief deputy for the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Department Matthew Wade said that Holder was ordered into the program on Friday by a judge and allegedly walked away on Sunday.
Police records show Holder was also arrested by the Anniston police department in May for third-degree burglary and resisting arrest.
Wade said by phone on Monday afternoon that escapes from similar programs have “been a problem for a long time.” Holder had not been apprehended as of Monday afternoon.
Police reports indicate Holder may be charged with felony escape. If convicted, Wade said that Holder may not be eligible for parole in the future.
