(WDNG) - Anniston police arrest a man accused of threatening a convenience store employee with a gun. Anniston police on Friday arrested 37-year-old Petties Lee Moore, Jr. on felony first-degree robbery charges. Anniston police Cpt. Allen George said Moore and another unidentified suspect allegedly stole a 12-pack of beer from the Kangaroo gas station on the 800 block of Legarde Avenue.
According to George, Moore and another suspect entered the gas station in the early morning hours of May 28. Moore allegedly motioned toward his jacket and implied to the convenience store worker that he had a weapon. After the unidentified suspect left with the beer, George said Moore told the clerk he was “just kidding” and fled the scene.
Police arrested Moore on Friday and was taken to the Anniston City Jail. He is currently being held in the Calhoun County Jail on a $10,000 bond and has a court hearing scheduled for August 5.
The second suspect has not been apprehended and also faces felony first-degree robbery charges.
