A well-known central Alabama attorney has been indicted on felony theft charges. Disbarred Jasper lawyer Garve Ivey has been indicted on eleven counts of felony theft of checks or money. State Attorney General Luther Strange says Ivey surrendered Thursday in Jasper. No other information about the alleged crimes is available. If Ivey is convicted on all counts, he faces a maximum prison term of 210 years, and maximum fines of $310,000.
