Anniston police have charged a 53-year-old man with robbery.
Investigators say Sunday, police were notified of a robbery that occurred on Cobb Avenue. The victims told police the suspect entered the front door of the house and robbed them at gunpoint using a shotgun. The suspect left the scene. Investigators started looking for Kelly Tatum in relation to the robbery.
Today, uniform patrol were called to 15th Street and Dooley Avenue where a residence was shot into and gunfire was exchanged between two vehicles. Officers determined Tatum was one of the suspects. He was located on Paul Street standing outside a red Ford Explorer that had a rear window broke out. He was armed with a shotgun, but dropped the weapon when he was challenged by police.
Tatum is now facing two counts of robbery 1st degree and resisting arrest. He could face additional felony charges.
